State Fair Concert Line Up Set

Headlined by Kenny Chesney on Friday and KISS on Saturday, the second weekend at the 2016 North Dakota State Fair is likely to draw the biggest crowds. The full concert line up follows below in a news release from the NDSF media department.

Kenny Chesney, KISS, Fall Out Boy, Jake Owen, Billy Currington, Old Dominion and LOCASH will all perform at the 2016 North Dakota State Fair, July 22-30th. Tickets will go on sale on March 1st at 8am.

Kenny Chesney will take the stage on Thursday, July 28th. The country superstar and ND State Fair favorite will bring his new hits including songs like “Come Over,” “You and Tequila,” and “American Kids”as well as his opening act Courtney Cole. Chesney, an eight-time Entertainer of the Year, with over 20 #1 hits is sure to put on an outstanding show.

KISS, will close out the Fair on Saturday, July 30. Still known as the “Hottest Band in the World,” KISS has legions of devoted fans that follow the band best known for hits such as “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Beth,” “Detroit Rock City,” and “I Was Made for Loving You.”

Fall Out Boy will be the first rock act on Saturday, July 23. The group has been a mainstay on the charts for the last ten years with platinum-selling singles such as “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” “Dance, Dance,” My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)”, and “Centuries.”

Jake Owen is set to rock the Fair on Friday, July 29. Owen ascended to stardom with five #1 hits including“Barefoot Blue Jean Night”, “Anywhere with You,” “Alone with You,” “The One That Got Away,” and the critically acclaimed “What We Ain’t Got.” Owen’s latest hit “Real Life” released to rave reviews.

Billy Currington will be the first Grandstand concert of the 2016 State Fair on Friday, July 22.  Since 2003, Currington has scored nine #1 singles, including such memorable hits as “Good Directions,” “Let Me Down Easy,” “Must Be Doin’ Something Right,” “Hey Girl,” and “We Are Tonight.”

Old Dominion will be performing on Wednesday, July 27th. Old Dominion has emerged as one of the hottest breaking bands in country music. Their new single “Break Up With Him” has stayed high on the charts as well as the hard-charging rock riot “Shut Me Up” and the slow strutting “Nowhere Fast.”

LOCASH will take the stage on Sunday, July 24. The duo has enjoyed hits with songs such as “Keep In Mind,” “The Best Seat in The House,” and their new single “I Love This Life.”

New this year is a Monster Truck Show featuring the original Big Foot, Bounty Hunter, Iron Outlaw, Nitro Menace and the Raging Inferno Jet Truck.

NPRA Championship Bull Riding will be held on Monday, July 25 & Tuesday, July 26.

Other items available for purchase on March 1 include: Season and Daily Gate Passes, Mega Ride Carnival Passes, Ranch Rodeo tickets, beer tickets and nine day camping spots.
