Velva Area History Museum preserves area history
Just across the street, but a big step forward — the Velva Area History Museum has moved into a larger space, giving new life to the stories of Velva and its neighboring communities. From old grocery store ads to long-gone local businesses, the collection captures the everyday history that often slips through the cracks. Admission is free, donations are welcome, and every item tells a piece of the region’s story — not just Velva’s, but from 60 miles in every direction. Lindsey Miller with KMOT has the full story.
