UND hockey to play in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2027
North Dakota hockey fans can start checking their passports. For the first time in more than four decades, the UND Fighting Hawks will play overseas, joining the 2027 Friendship Four tournament in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The field includes Quinnipiac, Wisconsin, and Northeastern, and the games will count toward the regular season. For UND, it’s not just a test on the ice—it’s a chance to see whether its famously devoted fan base will follow the green and white across the Atlantic.
