Minot Fire Department Responds to AC Unit Fire at Unoccupied Home

On January 7, 2025, at 11:50 a.m., the Minot Fire Department responded to a report of smoke emanating from a window air conditioning unit at a residence located at 1017 7th Avenue NW.

Crews from Station 2 arrived on the scene within 3 minutes and 40 seconds and promptly entered the home. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and the affected area was ventilated afterward.

The response involved personnel from all five fire stations, including three engine companies, two truck companies, and one command unit.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
