Deal reached on property tax relief
North Dakota lawmakers have struck a deal on property tax relief—and this time, it’s significant. House Bill 1176, now headed to Governor Kelly Armstrong, boosts the primary residence credit from $500 to as much as $1,600. It also removes the requirement for homeowners to pay part of their bill out of pocket and caps local levy increases at 3% annually.
