Motorcyclist Killed in High-Speed Crash in Southeast Minot

A 23-year-old Minot man died Saturday morning following a high-speed motorcycle crash in the 1600 block of 21st Avenue SE.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:25 a.m. when the driver of a 2015 Honda CBR650 motorcycle lost control while traveling westbound toward 6th Street SE. The motorcycle left its lane and struck a fixed object. The rider, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered fatal injuries.

Emergency responders from the Highway Patrol, Minot Police Department, Minot Fire Department, and Trinity First Response were on the scene. Road and weather conditions were reported as good at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
