North Dakota State has built its dynasty on winning games like this—the early-round playoff matchup at home, heavily favored, expected to roll. But that script collapsed in Fargo yesterday, when Illinois State stunned the undefeated No. 1 seed with two late touchdowns and a decisive two-point conversion. NDSU’s defense delivered turnovers, stops, and even points, yet the offense never found life.
