Eagan, Minnesota, just snagged a spot in the record books, making chilly history with the world’s largest ice maze. At a sprawling 18,148.88 square feet, this frosty labyrinth now eclipses the previous record-holder in Buffalo, New York. Crafted at TCO Stadium, this maze isn’t just for show; it demands actual navigational skill. Festival-goers can also enjoy ice slides, an international sculpting competition, and cozy warming corners. Robbie Harrell of Minnesota Ice, the brains behind this icy adventure, proudly accepted the Guinness accolade. Bundle up and prepare to get pleasantly lost!

It should be obvious why this matters in Minot, but if not, here it is explicitly. We should always be on the lookout for stories that show us how to have a little fun with Winter. This one does that and more. It gives folks in Eagan something fun to talk about and a record to be proud of. This is the spirit that moves a place forward toward prosperity.
