For 21 Minot High School students, the pages of their textbooks turned into cobblestone streets, Renaissance cathedrals, and gallery walls this June. Through the long-running Art Studies Abroad program, they traced history from Paris to Rome—guided not just by teachers, but by the brushstrokes, sculptures, and architecture that shaped Western art. Led by educator Mike Stein, the trip offered more than sightseeing; it sparked curiosity, creativity, and connection—reminding students (and all of us) that the world is the best kind of classroom.
