Fargo native, UND grad hailed a hero after saving child from Pennsylvania park monorail
A day at the amusement park turned into something far more unforgettable for Fargo native John Sampson—and for one very lucky young boy. While watching his family’s things at Hershey Park, Sampson spotted a child walking alone on the elevated monorail track, more than 20 feet up. What followed was a quick, instinctive rescue that’s now making headlines around the world.
