The fallout from former lawmaker Ray Holmberg’s crimes is reaching deep into North Dakota’s higher education system. The University of North Dakota and the State Board of Higher Education are reviewing records and urging anyone with knowledge of misconduct to come forward. Emails and connections revealed in recent investigations have raised serious questions about who knew what — and when. While no current UND employees are implicated, university leaders are taking steps to sever ties with anyone linked to Holmberg’s abuse of power, vowing transparency and accountability moving forward.
