Moorhead police study finds speeding not a problem at intersection where 9-year-old was killed
In Moorhead, the death of 9-year-old Adam Amin has sharpened concern about pedestrian safety near S.G. Reinertsen Elementary. A police study of the intersection where he was struck found average driver speeds close to posted limits, suggesting that chronic speeding isn’t the main issue. But with some cars topping 50 miles an hour and children relying on crosswalks, officials say the risks remain too high.
