At 4:51 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, Minot Fire Department crews were dispatched to the 600 block of 20th Ave SE for reports of a fire inside a storage unit.

Crews arrived on scene just five minutes later, at 4:56 a.m., and found black smoke venting out of the west side of the five-storage-unit building. Firefighters quickly deployed a handline and entered the storage unit to extinguish the fire.

After extinguishing the fire, crews checked adjoining units for any fire extension and completed overhaul of the affected unit. The fire was contained to the semi-truck stored inside.

No injuries were reported. One Battalion Chief, one ladder truck, and four engines responded to the scene.
