Fire contained to grain conveyor in northeast Minot

Minot Fire Department crews were dispatched at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, to the 600 block of 42nd Street NE for reports of a fire on the roof of AGT Foods.

Crews arrived on scene at 5:11 p.m. and found the grain conveyor leading to the bins on fire. Firefighters deployed a handline and used one elevated platform to extinguish the flames.

After extinguishment, crews checked the bins for any fire extension and confirmed the blaze was contained to the conveyor.

In total, four engines, two ladder trucks, and one Battalion Chief responded to the scene.
