the North Dakota Department of Commerce revealed that four companies have secured a combined $3 million in funding from the North Dakota Development Fund (NDDF) for the fourth quarter. This financial support aims to enhance economic growth and community initiatives across the state. Notable recipients include Airtonomy Inc., which received $2 million, and Little Miracles Learning Center LLC, awarded $340,000 for childcare expansion. These investments reflect ongoing efforts to meet vital needs while fostering long-term stability in North Dakota’s economy.

We follow these releases closely; there’s a possibly emerging story in how infrequently Minot businesses appear in these releases. At this point it is merely an anecdotal hunch, Minot is by no means the only place we observe missing, but it’s a sign that the economic activity of the state seems to be shifting to a few centers.
