North Dakota man charged with threatening official after email citing Minnesota shootings
A troubling email sent just hours after a deadly political shooting in Minnesota has led to federal charges in North Dakota. Charles Dalzell of St. Thomas was arrested Monday after allegedly referencing the attack and threatening a federal official in an email. The FBI says Dalzell, frustrated over perceived inaction on his legal complaints, escalated his rhetoric despite prior warnings. Now facing serious federal charges, he’s expected in court Wednesday. Authorities aren’t taking any chances amid rising concerns about threats against public officials. Mary Steurer with North Dakota Monitor has the full story.
