North Dakota PSC challenging potential utility rate hikes
North Dakota’s Public Service Commission is pushing back against a plan they say would saddle residents with the cost of renewable energy projects they didn’t ask for. PSC Chair Randy Christmann says MISO, the regional power grid operator, wants the state to help pay for $22 billion in new transmission lines meant to connect more wind farms—most in states with renewable mandates.
