Pheasant Season Preview 2025
North Dakota’s pheasant hunters will find plenty of birds in the field this fall, even if the numbers dipped slightly from last year. State biologists say severe storms and hail in parts of the northwest cut brood counts, but overall populations remain nearly 50% above the ten-year average. The southwest led the way with strong production, while the southeast and northeast showed surprising gains. Hunters are encouraged to treat the land with care and respect, as conditions point to another solid season ahead.
