UND enrollment hits 15,440, breaking record on first day of classes
The University of North Dakota is starting the school year with a milestone: record-breaking enrollment on the very first day of classes. UND counted 15,440 students on Aug. 25, already surpassing its previous high set in 2012 — and the numbers are expected to keep climbing before the official fall tally in September. With a surge in freshmen, more students in the Presidential Scholars Program, and a notable rise in military-affiliated enrollees, the growth points to momentum and confidence in UND’s future.
