Virtual high school ready to launch this fall in Grand Forks School District
Grand Forks students will soon have another option for earning a diploma: a district-run virtual high school. Launching this fall, the program is designed for learners who need flexibility — whether because of work, anxiety, or a preference for online study. Unlike state-run distance courses, which saw high failure rates, the new school promises closer monitoring, weekly teacher check-ins, and added family support. With 25 students set to enroll, district leaders say the goal is simple: a new pathway to success when the traditional classroom doesn’t fit. Sophia Herman with Grand Forks Herald has the full story.
