West Fargo continues plan for pedestrian bridge over Sheyenne River
West Fargo is stepping up its efforts to connect neighborhoods—but not everyone’s on board with the next move. A proposed pedestrian path and bridge over the Sheyenne River aims to link Sheyenne Street with the Veterans Boulevard trail network, improving walkability near Freedom Elementary and beyond. Some residents, however, question the placement and purpose, pointing to unmet needs elsewhere.
