West Fargo schools are reshaping recess into something more meaningful. By adding inclusive playground equipment, the district is creating spaces where students of all abilities can play together—and learn from each other. The Early Childhood Education Center now features adaptive swings, accessible surfaces, and sensory play areas, funded through this year’s voter-approved referendum. Teachers say the impact is already visible: children engaging side-by-side, confidence rising, and differences becoming less defining. With more schools and parks planning similar additions, inclusion is becoming the new standard. Wendy Reuer with InForum has the full story.
