Minot Police Share News of Officer’s Death

Through a post to the Minot Police Department’s Facebook page, the following news was shared:

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lt. Matt McLeod, a valued member of the Minot Police Department since 2002. Lt. McLeod’s dedication to serving our community will be remembered, and his absence will be deeply felt by his colleagues and friends.

We ask for your thoughts and respect for Lt. McLeod’s family and those who were close to him during this challenging time.

We will be bringing Lt. McLeod back to Minot today around 8:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., coming into town on Burdick Expressway. Your space and respect during this time would be greatly appreciated as we honor his return.”
