He has introduced House Bill 1366, aiming to increase fines for drivers speeding significantly over the limit. Those caught going 21 mph over on state highways or 16 mph over on interstates would see their fines jump by $100. Maki emphasizes the necessity of this change, particularly following serious incidents linked to reckless driving.
