Williams County Fatal Crash Claims Life of Minot Man

A single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 2, approximately four miles west of Ray, North Dakota, resulted in the death of a 54-year-old man from Minot early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred at 7:11 AM on January 16, 2025. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 1998 Jeep Wrangler westbound when the vehicle entered the median and overturned. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported by Ray Ambulance to Tioga Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

At the time of the accident, road conditions were icy with frost-covered surfaces, and the weather was dark but clear. Authorities, including the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, and the driver’s name will be released once next of kin have been notified.
