Juvenile Injured in DUI Crash at Cross Ranch State Park

OLIVER COUNTY, N.D. — A 47-year-old Minot man is facing multiple charges after a single-vehicle crash in Cross Ranch State Park on Sunday left a juvenile passenger seriously injured.

The crash occurred around 2:48 p.m. on July 27 when the driver’s 2008 GMC Yukon accelerated and struck a tree head-on. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, neither the driver nor the juvenile passenger was wearing a seatbelt.

The driver sustained minor injuries, while the juvenile was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck with serious injuries.

The driver faces charges including DUI with a minor (Class A Misdemeanor), Reckless Endangerment with Extreme Indifference (Class C Felony), Child Neglect (Class C Felony), and No Proof of Liability Insurance.

The incident remains under investigation.
